A very special place.
The Llandudno rocks are a stunning spot for wedding photos! Michelle grew up in Llandudno and James had asked her out there as teenagers. Llandudno is a special place for this couple and the one and only place to shoot their first photos as a married couple. The weather on the wedding day was incredible. We were treated to one of the most incredible sunsets with not a breath of wind.
Michelle got the task of picking a photographer due to her photojournalism background. Michelle mentioned she loved what I'd written in my about section on my website. What a compliment indeed. It also goes to show just how important a connection with your wedding photographer is. Oh, and she also loved my pictures too, that kinda helps. :-)
Suikerbossie for the wedding!
Since Llandudno is so close to Michelle and Jame's hearts, there was only one place to get married... Suikerbossie Restaurant and wedding venue. The views, food, venue staff are fantastic. I always love shooting there. They chose late afternoon for the ceremony which was perfect. The lighting was great! Doing the wedding ceremony outdoors too early often results in very harsh shadows.
A 150 year old veil.
Michelle, nervously wore a beautiful lace wedding veil which has been passed down generations, it's thought to be close to 150 years old, how amazing is that? I wonder how many weddings, it's seen? I love using veils in photos; they look incredible. This one was very short-worn because of its incredible sentimental value.
A happy wedding.
Some weddings are just 'happier' than others. I end up capturing so many precious moments. Michelle has 5 nephews, family is important, and it showed. What a wonderful day and celebration with family friends and most of all a start of an amazing journey together.
