Web Development

During Covid, I was fortunate enough to rely on my IT skills. Before becoming a photographer, I had worked as a developer, creating web applications for organisations such as the Western Cape Education Department, M-Net, and MultiChoice, to name a few.

With no work available for photographers, I returned to IT and began working as a developer and SQL report creator for a company called "Joined-Up." I thoroughly enjoyed the job, but photography eventually called me back. Interestingly, Joined-Up was sold for a reported £1 billion (or was it $1 billion? Who knows!).

Today, I balance both passions. My love for IT began in the mid-'90s, and I've stayed current ever since. My focus is on website creation and bespoke web applications.

I specialise in working with a CMS called ProcessWire, which allows for the creation of streamlined, fuss-free websites that are exceptionally easy for end-users to update. Plus, it's incredibly fast!

I’m also highly proficient with WordPress, but I always recommend ProcessWire for sites built from scratch.
